Minty Honey Roast Chicken Wings

If you are bored with the normal marinade sauce for roasts, do try this minty honey marinade for your roasts. I never knew that sometimes laziness can help create a great sauce for marinating chicken. Weekends especially on a Sunday, I will be too lazy to cook anything elaborate...eating out would be great :p but when you think of the crowd, you would rather cook something simple and eat in. And that was what I did.  Some store bought  mint sauce , honey and rock salt blend together......a refreshing marinade sauce for my chicken wings. It turned out great- trust me ...minty flavor with a tinge of sweetness and the aroma filled the air when the oven door was opened....MmmmMmmm delicious minty honey roast chicken wings for dinner ! :)  A simple yet easy to prepare roast wings and paired it with either a bottle of chilled red wine or a mug of chilled beer.....anyone? :p

* Marinate the wings with the minty honey marinade sauce for 1 hour.  Using a bamboo skewer or satay stick pierce it through the length of the wing so that it helps to straighten the wing as shown in the picture below. Placed the wings on the baking sheet . Baked at 200 deg C for 35-40 minutes, turning the wings at every 15 minutes interval for even baking. When it is golden brown , take it out of the oven and served it with chilled beer or red wine.  Delicious minty honey roast wings that is a keeper for sure.

marinate the wings for at least 1 hour if you want a more flavorful wings :)

straighten the wings with a bamboo skewer pierced thru the whole wing
take up lesser space and allows the wings to be even brown..:)

Kathy: using fresh mints would be great too but you have add in some lemon juice and olive oil and a pinch of rock salt and blend well before you marinade your meat :)
